I bought three boxes way back and ripped the less popular and highest numbered one and found a mini-exclusive shaq. Nothing incredibly special, but still fun to try. I would only rip if I knew there was little demand for the outer player or if they were high numbered like that.
--JonCommunity Gumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05296365794796762616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006338438521912608.post-38408890535437366462013-09-25T12:17:47.577-07:002013-09-25T12:17:47.577-07:00I agree that it's a shame that you ruin one (a...I agree that it's a shame that you ruin one (a bit) to get another one, but i do like the concept of unpacking it and see what kind of surprise you get !The Dutch Card Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15489067166405550871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006338438521912608.post-37620900697298984782013-09-25T12:16:23.432-07:002013-09-25T12:16:23.432-07:00I would also rather rip them, just for fun ! Why would ...I completely disagree with CaptKirk42. Why would you not rip it? It doesn't ruin the card at all. It's still a card that only has 25 copies whether ripped or unripped.

The only reason to not rip is if you are selling it because unripped cards sell at a premium because some folks like taking the risk of ripping. If you already bought the card and plan to keep it, why not rip it and see what's inside?Spankeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17359644189269593175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006338438521912608.post-72261111817613618622013-09-25T08:47:29.241-07:002013-09-25T08:47:29.241-07:00I don't like the "rip" idea, it ruin...I don't like the "rip" idea, it ruins the outer card, which they apparently don't care about, so why serial number them?

I have a rip card from a few years ago that I have kept unripped. As long as I have it I will not rip it.

Card ripping in my book is like the GU concept. Destroying one piece of memorabilia to make another one. The concept has been brilliant though because "collectors" are spending way too much money on them and giving them ridiculous values.CaptKirk42https://www.blogger.com/profile/16039278539984069944noreply@blogger.com
