COMC package arrived

IT's that time of year again !! Once every few months I have COMC deliver all my eBay loot to me as I use them as my US mailbox. At least for now as they have graudally increased the price per card from $0.50 to $2 or more per card I noticed recently. Anyways, here's a few cards from the package !

First up, a Topps Luminaries Glavine card. Topps did a good job creating this set !

Next up, 2 Topps Archives cards, Glavines of course. I have mixed feelings about this set. I liked it a few years ago but now it feels like a simply money making machine with little new or special coming out of it...

Next up, a new addition to my Blyleven collection !!

Lastly, 2 more Glavine cards, a very cool A&G signed mini, for me still the best set from Topps each year. Also another printing plate for me Glavine collection !!

All in all a nice bunch of cards for my ever growing Glavine collection !

COMC package !!

Quick post today. Still swamped but rest assured, I am still reading all your posts and following your collecting adventures. I received a package from COMC yesterday with a bunch of cool Glavine, Rizzo and Blyleven additions !! Below a flavor of the cards !!

Some cool cards for my collection. Last but not least just a, probably worthless 1/1 cards but I liked it a lot. A Rizzo mini card from the One Star Chewing Gum Company. I guess just made by some hobbiest but in any event a cool nice one for a couple of bucks. Do you like these cards or do you feel the card below is a fraud and hence you are ignoring and avoiding them ? Love to hear your thoughts !

Some new COMC loot & Topps Bunt

Quick update to increase my postcount for October as I have been slacking a lot again in recent weeks and of course busy following the World Series. I was hoping for some Cubs magic and Rizzo with some HRs but instead they are behind 3-1 so a mountain to climb.

On the card collecting front I have downloaded Topps Bunt but not sure what to make of it just yet. Any of you active with Topps Bunt ? Any view on it, worth time spend on it or should I not invest in time in the App ?

Anyways, I just received a COMC package. Here is some of the loot, a few Glavine and Blyleven cards !!

Love the COMC Mailbox !!

After some good tips from my loyal blog readers I decided to give COMC mailboxes a try. This way I don't pay the ridiculously high prices eBay these days is charging through their Global Shipping Program. At the same time it also combined the international shipping part and I have the opportunity to offer them for sale as well on COMC if I, by accident, buy two of the same (and this happens to often!).

The first COMC delivery arrived today !! Here's some of the loot. First up, Babe Ruth !!

Great card and love the relic, it's looks old (even if it might be a fake!) In any good package Glavine is included as well !! Another 2007 printing plate #1/1 for my collection as well as a Leaf Limited Relic card !

Kershaw was there as well ! I hope he (mentally) recovers from the difficult post-season games....

Last but not least, the Flying Dutch Man !!

Love the COMC mailboxes. Would recommend it to all European collectors. More already on the way !!

A quick trip to COMC !

Now and then I pay COMC a visit to score me some nice cards. I received a small package last week. Here's what I got !

First up, a 1990 Donruss Learning Series and a 1992 Diet Pepsi card. Both interesting cards I had never seen before. Makes you wonder what else is out there !

Next up, two nice additions to my quest to complete the 2011 Gypsy Queen Relic and Auto sets. Here's Henderson and Howard !

I found two more cool Glavine cards, both numbered to only 25 !!

Two 2011 GQ Autos in my quest to complete the set. Getting around completion on the low-end part of the set, the hard part will be the higher end ones :-))

Let's finish with two more cool cards, a Bowman Rizzo and a Great Gold Glavine !

COMC: Rizzo Style !

Earlier this week I showed you my COMC loot from Kershaw and Glavine. Today the last few cards, all Rizzo cards !! Let's start with the "hit" of the package, a Museum Collection Momentous Material card, numbered to only 10 !!

In line with the Parallel theme we saw with the Kershaw and Glavine loot, here are two Rizzo parallels !

COMC: Glavine Style !

Earlier this week it was Kershaw's turn, today it's Glavine !! I had some fun on COMC and here's what I received this weekend !

First up, a nice red Topps Chrome parallel but even more fun a card with Glavine playing Hockey (or as we call in Europe, Ice-Hockey). I think that it's great that a player can even chose in which field he wants to have his professional career given the skills he had !

Like with Kershaw, it's parallel time ! Here's two from Finest !

COMC: Kershaw Style !

It was that time of year again (or actually that time of the quarter these days). I visited COMC and had the urge to check out of few of my key players, Kershaw, Glavine and Rizzo. Today I will show you some of the Kershaw cards with Glavine and Rizzo later in the week.

Let's start with the best card of the whole bunch, a card I have been wanting for a long time ! Meet Kershaw's Archival Autograph from the 2012 Museum Collection, love this card ! I picked up a green parallel of the base cards as well !

Next up, four more numbered cards, a 2012 Green Finest, a 2013 Blue Tribute, a 2013 Green Finest and a 2013 Brown(ish) Triple Threads !!

Let's stay with the colored parallel theme, here's two from Bowman, Blue and Orange......

........and two from Bowman Chrome, Blue and Purple......

.....and more Bowman, orange and purple !!

Clearly, there are so, so much more parallels to chase (getting a bit annoyed by it but hey, I am an addict) so if you have any from the players I collect let me know. In particular the retail versions are of interest as I have a hard time getting my hands on those from Europe !!
