A Christmas COMC package !

Happy Christmas everyone, hope you and your families all are doing well and enjoying the holiday break ! For Christmas I received a nice COMC holiday package which I had the urge to show you all ! So here it is !

First up, a cool Panini Leather & Lumber featuring Glavine and a nice Blyleven printing plate.

Next up, an old stamp on a card. Never really got the concept but it like cool and is a nice addition to my Blyleven collection !

The next one is a awesome addition to my Glavine collection, another One of One !! This one is from a recent Leaf set, a Fantastic Fabric !

Last up, a beauty, at least in my view. A awesome Blyleven booklet from Topps Museum Collection !

Anyways, that's it for now. Some great cards for Christmas ! Enjoy the holiday break and let's make it a great 2020 !

COMC package arrived

IT's that time of year again !! Once every few months I have COMC deliver all my eBay loot to me as I use them as my US mailbox. At least for now as they have graudally increased the price per card from $0.50 to $2 or more per card I noticed recently. Anyways, here's a few cards from the package !

First up, a Topps Luminaries Glavine card. Topps did a good job creating this set !

Next up, 2 Topps Archives cards, Glavines of course. I have mixed feelings about this set. I liked it a few years ago but now it feels like a simply money making machine with little new or special coming out of it...

Next up, a new addition to my Blyleven collection !!

Lastly, 2 more Glavine cards, a very cool A&G signed mini, for me still the best set from Topps each year. Also another printing plate for me Glavine collection !!

All in all a nice bunch of cards for my ever growing Glavine collection !

Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you all are doing well !!

Leaving 2017 and entering 2018 !

I am still here !! Although clearly lacking the discipline and time to leave a regular post !! Still, I wanted to leave 2017 and enter 2018 with one last post, a quick overview from a recent COMC package ! Happy New Year everyone !!

Again happy new year and I am fairly confident my posting frequency should go up in 2018 as is will be hard to be as low as 2017 ! Hope all of you are doing well and still happily collecting !!

Button me Bert !

Hi folks, yes, it has been a long time, way too long !! I have been moving house, work is hectic and the kids demand attention as well. So the blog has been suffering and my focus has mostly been on new Glavine and Blyleven cards through eBay and COMC and of course reading all your blogs. I think I don't owe anyone any package but if my admin is messed up due to the move do let me know !

Let's have a quick peak at some of my latest treasures ! First up, my latest Bert Blyleven addition, the Flying Dutchman ! Yes a 1/1 button card from Panini's Immaculate Collection, awesome card and my first Blyleven button card.

Next up, my latest Gypsy Queen 2011 addition. Still a little side project of mine, trying to complete this set. A slow but fun grind so great to be able to add Bernie Williams to the collection !

Last card is of course a new Glavine card, ffrom the 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes set

Hope the summer holiday bring a bit more time for blogging ! Hope you all are doing well !

Some new COMC loot & Topps Bunt

Quick update to increase my postcount for October as I have been slacking a lot again in recent weeks and of course busy following the World Series. I was hoping for some Cubs magic and Rizzo with some HRs but instead they are behind 3-1 so a mountain to climb.

On the card collecting front I have downloaded Topps Bunt but not sure what to make of it just yet. Any of you active with Topps Bunt ? Any view on it, worth time spend on it or should I not invest in time in the App ?

Anyways, I just received a COMC package. Here is some of the loot, a few Glavine and Blyleven cards !!

Thanks for visiting my blog again !

Circle Me Bert !

Quick post today with my latest cool Blyleven card !! A Blyleven White Whale from 2011 Topps Triple Threads.

This is one of the few, if not the only card refering to "Circle me Bert", to me one of the cool features and one of Blyleven's trademark of his post-playing days. For more details on Circle Me Bert have a look here !

Trading with the UK !!

I know of only one other Glavine Supercollector and we have been having a steady trading relationship since last year. Recently we set-up our 3rd trade already. Ian is actually based in the UK so there are even 2 Glavine Supercollectors in Europe, what a coincidence ! I send Ian a Leaf Glavine auto while Ian had a cool Flying Dutchman laying around for me !! Here it is !!

Thanks for the trade Ian !! Looking forward to the next one !!

Topps Vault - Blyleven Edition

I like "old" stuff, especially when it comes to baseball cards. Although I don't have too many "vintage" cards, as I have not really chased them yet, I do love to add some odd-ball vintage when I come across some. Recently I noticed some Topps Vault Blyleven items. Of course, when it comes to the Flying Dutchman I can't resist any rare items and given I was the only bidder it seems please have a look at my new Blyleven additions !!

First up, 1978 Topps Vault proof cards !!

Next up, and this one is even older, a 1975 Topps Black Test Proof card !!

So there you have it, two cool additions to my slowely growing Blyleven PC !! Love the rare look and feel so if I come across more I will certainly try and chase them !!

Do you guys like the Topps Vault stuff ? Or do you simply see it as a money-making machine ?

Another 2 By 3 PWE !

Just before Sinterklaas eve tomorrow (a children's holiday comparable to Christmas in the US) Jeff  at 2 By 3 Heroes send me a cool PWE, great timing !!

Here comes 5 cool cards !!! Let's start with some Sabathia !!! 2014 Topps Chrome, a purple refractor and a regular refractor !!

Next up, two more Sabathias !!! Pure Heat and Prizm !!

Let's finish of with the Flying Dutchman !!! A Bert Blyleven mini !!

Another cool PWE from Jeff. Thanks a ton Jeff !!!

The Flying Dutchman !!

My collection of the Flying Dutchman, Bert Blyleven, has been on hold in bit in recent months as I focussed mostly on Glavine, Kershaw and Rizzo. Blyleven has also not been in many sets this year so not much new material to chase anyways. But now and then I do come across a nice Blyleven card I am still missing in my collection. Here's my latest, a 2005 Upper Deck MLB Artifacts card !!

If any of you have a cool Blyleven card for trade let me know, always happy to trade !!

Thanks for visiting my blog today !!

Love the COMC Mailbox !!

After some good tips from my loyal blog readers I decided to give COMC mailboxes a try. This way I don't pay the ridiculously high prices eBay these days is charging through their Global Shipping Program. At the same time it also combined the international shipping part and I have the opportunity to offer them for sale as well on COMC if I, by accident, buy two of the same (and this happens to often!).

The first COMC delivery arrived today !! Here's some of the loot. First up, Babe Ruth !!

Great card and love the relic, it's looks old (even if it might be a fake!) In any good package Glavine is included as well !! Another 2007 printing plate #1/1 for my collection as well as a Leaf Limited Relic card !

Kershaw was there as well ! I hope he (mentally) recovers from the difficult post-season games....

Last but not least, the Flying Dutch Man !!

Love the COMC mailboxes. Would recommend it to all European collectors. More already on the way !!

Thanks for visiting my blog today !

Check out the Italian Blog !

Last week I received another package from Italy ! Yes, I have a trading partner in Italy, his name is Riccardo  and he even started a blog recently called The Italian Completist ! This is already our second or third trade and he put in some nice cards again this time. Here's what he send me !

First up some Glavines !! Any packages with Glavines is a cool package !

The Flying Dutchman was also present, as was a smiling Sabathia !

Some old Bowman Yankees cards !

Some minis were included as well !! Here's Pettitte and Cano !

Let's finish with a cool Glavine from a Postseason Scrapbook !

Riccardo is a great trading partner so do set up a trade with him when you can and check out his blog ! Thanks Riccardo, a return package should be on its way in the coming weeks !
