Don't think so as an awesome package already arrived this year, actually this week, in my mailbox so no need to Wait 'til Next year !! Tom and I recently set up a cool trade and the cards he send me are great ! Note that I need to thank his sister as well as she apparently is a collector as well and added to the pile of cards Tom send me !!
First of all, he was able to help my complete the 2012 Cooperstown base set !! Tom send me a big pile of Coopertown but these two were the best, a Blyleven for my PC and a cool Wagner !
Tom also send me vintage !!! I have started collecting vintage card a while back and will try to complete most of the Topps base sets. I started with the 1976 set and tom send me a bunch of cool Cubs from that year !! Here's two (and I must admit I don't know these guys).
Tom send me more (recent) "vintage", 2012 Archives, a set I am still trying to complete so these were welcome !!
Two Panini Triple Play, Jeter and Kershaw with the Jeter from the 2013 set !!!
Couple of more cool cards !, Some Opening Day inserts as well as a few 2009 Allen & Ginter, a set I am still trying to complete !!
A surprise pack was also included, exciting !!!
and in it was.......
Rivera !!!!!!
Awesome card for my Rivera collection !!!
All in all an awesome package so thanks very much Tom (and sister!) for the trade. Looking forward to the next one !!!

A Cooperstown box means trade bait !
When I recently ordered my Gypsy Queen boxes I couldn't resist also picking up a Cooperstown box as this is a set I would love to complete and has some fun and nice cards in it. And so it happened that I had the pleasure to open up a cool Cooperstown box.....although....cool.....a bit disappointing was more like it. Out of the whole box I only got 10 new base cards, despite having only opened 1 box before, that's it. So clearly not great....on the flip side, it does leave me with a pile of Cooperstown cards so if anyone wants to set-up a trade let me know !! Now let's see what I got in the box, luckily it included an Auto card !!
First up a few of the new base cards, a cool Clemente as well as a guy I have seen before in my GQ box break: Carl Ripken Jr !!
The box also included some numbered parallels, Reggie Jackson and Satchel Paige, both numbered to /299.
The Cooperstown set does have some cool inserts, here's one of the BallParks and a Field General !
Cooperstown also has some sort of "silk"-like cards, I got one of Rickey Henderson.
Lastly, the hit of the box, a cool Rich Gossage, my third Cooperstown auto card after Blyleven and Rollie Fingers and another cool one for my Pitchers collection !!
All in all a bit disappointing that the box didn't help me a lot in completing the set but it did leave me with a pile of doubles so let me know if you are looking for a trade !!

Cooperstown Auto !
I have been a fan of Panini´s Cooperstown. Sure, it misses team logos and has some mistakes here and there, but still I think it´s a fun set and I am still trying to complete the base set and some of the inserts (check my Want List in case you have any available!).
I also like the autographed cards a lot in the Cooperstown set. Of course I chased down the Bert Blyleven one as a first one, adding it to my growing Blyleven PC. I also noticed another really great card and given it´s Panini (and the lack of team logos) the prices are actually very reasonable.
Here it is, a fun Rollie Fingers with a great mustache !!
I will try to chase some more in the coming months !! Thanks for visiting my blog today !

Breaking a Cooperstown Box
A while back I was able to score one of the Panini's boxes, Cooperstown. I noticed a few cards going around the blogosphere and liked it from the start so decided to complete the set. Here are some of the cards I pulled.
The best cards for me are actually the Ballparks inserts. They really look great, nostalgic pictures showing the old ballparks. So after opening one box I now own one of these so some more to go and it might take me a while but it's worth it !
The base cards also look pretty nice with players from the past, here's Ryan and Morgan !
Two more, Rollie Fingers and Dickey !
They also have more glossy numbered parallels, here's Ford. In addition, one of the other inserts, Famous Moments, Bob Feller's No-Hitter.
Some more numbered parallels, CY Young and Jimmie Foxx.
No Relic or Auto cards for me in this box so let me finish with 2 more inserts, another Famous Moments with Tom Seaver, and one of the Induction cards, this one celebrating Don Sutton's inducation in the Hall in 1998.
That's it for today, a nice new challenge to try to complete this set in the coming year(s) !!
