Trade with reader Marc !!

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Marc from the United Kingdom proposing to trade some cards !! Well, that line always works for me and it's great to expand the trade partner circle that is getting larger and larger !! Marc could use some of the Piece of History relics and numbered cards and I got a pile of cards from my Want List in return !! Let's have a look !!

The best cards in my view, 3 Cut to the Chase inserts, beautiful cards !!

The second best cards are from the Topps 1976 set I am trying to complete as my first vintage set. Still needs loads but it's a fun project !!

Marc also send me a few minis !! I love minis and I only needs a few of these to complete this set so these were very welcome !!

The package also included a big pile of 2009 Piece of History, helping me get close to completion as well !!

Lastly, Marc send me a bunch of inserts from both the 2012 and 2013 sets, here are a few !! Cut from Above !!

Two more, Brown and Darvish !!

All in all Marc send me a great package so thanks very much Marc !! Looking forward to our next trade !!

Spanking Loot, part 2 !

Yesterday I showed you my box break loot from Spankee's recent box break at the Cardboard Mistress. We also set-up a great trade so that's what I will show you today !!

Let's kick-off with the "hits" of the trade ! Here's one of my favourite pitchers, Sabathia !!

The second "hit" was a cool triple relic card which include Glavine !! I'll take a Glavine relic any day !!

I am also chasing the Topps 2012 Minis set and luckily Spankee had some in store for me !! Still a few to go so in case you have any for trade please check out my Want List !! Really like the Blanks card

Spankee also send me 20 or so 2012 A&G base cards...I am almost done with this set, only a few more !!

Another set that I am collecting is the 2008 Upper Deck "A Piece of History" and Spankee send me a pile of those as well !! Here's Cano and Jones !

All in all, a lot of cool cards that helped me get closer to completing some of the sets I am chasing. Thanks very much Spankee for the cool cards. Looking forward to a next box break or trade !!

More Trade Bait !

Today a quick post with some more trade bait which I came across when going through my collection and when opening a box of 2009 UD A Piece of History recently, a great set which I am trying to complete this year (only a few more to go so if you have any let me know!).

Here we go with some more trade bait which I have added to my Trade Bait Page ! First up 2 auto cards: Ryan Kalish of the Red Sox and Josh Lindblom of the Dodgers.

Also a nice autographed card of Matt Antonelli (San Diego Padres) and a serial numbered Xfractror Chrome of Neil Ramirez (Texas Rangers).

Last auto card is one of Luis Cruz (Pirates) from the 2009 UD A Piece of History set. The new trade bait also includes some nice relic cards including this one of Jeremy Hermida, limited to only 25 (Marlins).

Another nice relic card of Nick Markakis (Orioles), numbered to #180.

Here's another "relic" card, this one being a robe worn by Ben Affleck in the hit movie "Gigli"  or actually, I guess this was one of the large flops together with his former wife Jennifer Lopez !

Lastly, 2 numbered blue 2009 Bowman cards, Kang of the Rays and Concepcion of Panama.

As always, if you are interested in any of these cards and/or any from my Trade Bait page let me know so we can work something out !

Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy the rest of your weekend !

Chipper Jones #/5 Button card !

Last week I showed you some of my best pulls from the Allen & Ginter series, a product with a look and feel I really like. This week I am planning to show you some of my more exciting non-A&G pulls since I started collecting last year. Let's start with a great pull from Upper Deck A Piece of History 2008, Stadium Scenes....

Yes, a really beautiful Chipper Jones card, numbered 4/5 with his button, my one and only "button" card I own. A very lucky pull that, at some point in the future, I should be able to trade for a very nice addition to one of my player collections !

More pulls coming in the next few days so watch out for my best Topps Finest Auto & Relic pulls including the Angels, Astros, Dodgers and Cubs !
