Trade package incoming !!

Collecting has been slow, very slow with only a bit of focus on eBay in recent months. Therefore, I was happily suprised when Sam at TheDailyDimwit contacted my asking for my address. Apparently, he still had some cards from 1 or 2 years ago that had my earmark on it !! Of course I quickly provided him with my new address after my recent move and last week a yellow envelop arrived !! Sam has been one of my first trading partners when I started collecting and if I remember correctly he was the first one that let a unknown European guy into his "box breaks". I am still very thankful for that as it lead to more people that were happy to deal with me !

Anyways, I know you all want to know what was in the package ! Well here's what was in it !

First up,a cool Glavine UD Masterpiece card. I love the Masterpiece set and any package was a Glavine card is already an awesome package !!

Next-up, a nice Triple Threads Jeter card, just from before his retirement.

The last card was the card it was all about, meet CC Sabathia.

I can't recall if I won this card, if I bought it and had it delivered to Sam or if I made a deal with Sam for this one. So Sam, in case I still owe you something for this card do let me know as my memory is letting me down on this one !!

Breaking a box of Finest !

I recently opened a box of Finest !! I love Finest although I do struggle with the price a bit. Still, one box every few years we can do !! Here's what I got !!

Let's start with a few base cards for my Yankees collection !! Jeter and Tanaka !!

Another Jeter so a Jeter hot box !! A very cool Billy Hamilton, numbered to only 10 !! Noticed one go for over $40 so might get something for it !! Not sure how I will go about but recently opened a COMC mailbox so might add this one to it !

Two more cool insert cards ! Abreu and Cabrera !!

The box also contained a few numbered cards, here's two of them !

Another cool insert Finest Vintage !! Love the Ryan !! A Refractor was in the pack as well !

Let's move to the two "hits" of the box. autos from Bethancourt and Castellanos, both for trade !!

Another Bob Walk the Plank trade !!

A few days ago I showed you my 2nd trade with Max, today I will show a 2nd trade with Matt at Bob Walk the Plank ! Matt had a few more cards for me in store and I had some more Pirates for him ! Here's the loot !!

Let's start with the coolest card, a Gary Sheffield "base" card. Just to stress, this is not a simple "base card" but actually has a piece of a "base" as a relic ! My first "base" relic card in my collection !!

Next up a bunch of minis, Matt send me a pile of 2013 Gypsy Queen minis. I am still trying to complete the minis set so this was a big help ! If you have any for trade do let me know !!

Matt also send me some cool Prizm cards, here's Kershaw and Rizzo !

A cool Sabathis was also included, here he is as an Indian ! Let's hope he will improve his game this year.

Another cool relic card, one of the few players of the Dutch team, Andruw Jones, and Pettitte !

Last up, a cool Kershaw and a nice Sabathia !

Sandlot loot !!

Joe at the Sandlot has been one of my regular trading partners since I started collecting a few years ago. Whenever I have excess Piazza cards or Mets in general I know how to get rid of them ! Earlier this week a nice return package from the Sandlot arrived with some cool cards, thanks Joe ! Here they are !!

First up, new Panini cards !! Despite the missing logos I think Panini is doing a good job trying to get some new fresh cards into the market. One of the few negatives these days is still their lack of any response on my redemptions which have been sitting there for over a year now. Anyways, Joe send me a couple of cool Panini cards including the Captain !

Some more Paninis were included ! My favourite Yankees Catcher and Closer !

I was very happy that Joe included 4 Yankees Stadium Legacy cards, helping me in my quest to complete the set. I think I have a few hundred now so "only" 5,000 or so more to go :-)

Some Bowman Chrome was also included, meet Sabathia and newbie Tyler Austin !

Mantle was also present and a cool Canseco card. Really a nice shiny Fleer Showcase !

 Let's finish with two more pitchers, another Rivera and Clemens !

Hot Hot Loot !!

I was recently contacted by Pat at Hot Corner Cards as he was interested in some Tigers. A trtade was quickly born and the loot arrived a few days ago !! Pat helped me out with a lot of my set needs so a great trade in the end ! Here's what I got !!

First up, Yankee Stadium Legacy !! I can use them all as I still need some 5,000 to complete the set !! In addition a cool 2013 Heritage card for my Kershaw collection !!

Any package with Glavine cards is a succes and this one was no different !!

A few 2012 Archives that I still needed, Vogelsong and Votto !!!

Minis !!! Yes, Pat included some minis from my Want List ! I really hope I can complete the GQ mini set at some point so send in your extras !!

Two Blockbuster cards from the Update set I am trying to complete ! Ryan and Sandberg !

Lastly, one of the Gypsy Queen inserts I was still missing. Hopefully I can complete the full set by the end of the year so if you have any extras let me know !!

A UK Trade !!!

I finally found another way of getting rid of my Red Sox cards (instead of burning them or throwing them away!). John at Pursuitof80s blog, another baseball card collector based in Europe (UK) like me, collects Red Sox cards !!

I send him a bunch of Red Sox cards and a return package arrived at my doorstep earlier this week. Some cool cards from my Want list were included and some cool Yankees cards as well !! Here they are !!

First up a great Jeter 2010 Heritage card, numbered to only 61 !! In addition, one of the very cool Cut to the Chase cards !

Next up minis !! I love minis and still trying to complete several minis sets so these additions are very helpful !! Another mini for my Kershaw collection as well !!

Next up, a great 2011 Gypsy Queen card, I still only have a few of the base cards so still looking for loads of them. Also a cool mascot card (3 more to go I think!).

2009 Allen & Ginter !! Like 2011 GQ I only have a few 2009 A&G yet so still need a lot including this one ! Also the most hated Yankee (also by me to be honest), A-Rod.

Two young Jeter cards were included as well....he looks really young here !

Lastly, 2 cards I still needed, a 2012 insert and a 2012 Archives base card !

The package included a bunch more Yankees so thanks very much John for the trade ! Great to have another place to unload my Red Sox in the future !
