New COMC package !

Although my blog activity has been slow my focus on collecting Glavine and Blyleven has continued, close to, full force, mostly using my COMC account as my US mailbox. As a result, a cool COMC package arrived at my doorstep last week. Here are some impressions !

First up, some Allen & Ginter silk ! Already a few years old but this one was still missing from my collection so very happy to have been able to get my hand on this one as there are only 10 around !!

Next -up, some special proof cards from the Leaf Pearl set from 2018. Haven't seen anything from this set but came across these production proof cards so took a shot at them !

Luckily, I was also able to expand my Flying Dutchman collection. Here are two new Blyleven card. One from Topps Five Star and one from Topps Legacy of Baseball.

Let's end of today's post with a cool White Whale of Glavine !!

Overall, very cool cards and great additions to my collection. Still, miss a bit the thrill of opening Allen & Ginter or Gypsy Queen packs so I might need to revisit that old habit at some point !

Silk Additions !!

I think these Silk cards are cool, mainly because they are different and they look nice in a frame. At the same time they are hard to find, in particular the Allen & Ginter ones as they are often only numbered to 10. In recent months I was able to pick-up two, so very lucky here ! Meet Kershaw and Rizzo !!

New Sabathia additions !

My Sabathia collection has been moved a bit to the background in recent months with my focus being on Kerhsaw and Rizzo as well as Glavine (of course!) and Blyleven. However, last week I was able to pick up two cool new additions. Here's a cool, silk, Allen & Ginter card, numbered to only 10 !!

Also, a 2005 Leaf relic card, Patch off my Back, Sabathia as an Indian !

Quick post today with my latest Silk Collection card, a 2013 Kershaw !!

Hope to pick up some more Silk Collections in the future !! I was able able to score a nice Gypsy Queen mini relic card of Kershaw, a really like these mini relic cards !

CC does it again !

On the day that CC delivered again for the Yankees (to my joy but the agony of most of you I think :-)) I received this cool silk card in my mailbox. I really like the A&G silk ones this year hence I decided to check if there are any other cool ones out there. This one caught my eye and luckily I won it for a very reasonable price ! Meet CC's Turkey Red Silk Collection card !

Furthermore, I have several trade request in my e-mail box from a bunch of you but have been pretty busy in recent days so no worries, I will respond to all of them as soon as I can !! Thanks for checking out my blog today and enjoy the weekend !

I really love these Silk A&Gs !!

I recently picked up a very cool Verlander card, a 2012 Allen & Ginter Silk card. Holding that card in my hand made me appreciate the card even more and at that point I decided to chase the other Silk cards of the players I collect, such as Sabathia, Kershaw, Rivera and Lincecum. Since then I have been able to pick-up a Kershaw and a Rivera with hopefully a Sabathia on the way !!

Here's what arrived in a few days ago. I reallly like these cards and with only 10 of these around I feel very lucky and fortunate that I was able to get on hold of them !!

JABO Loot !!

I find myself being a regular in Kyle's box breaks at Juuust a bit Outside (JABO). Earlier this week a package arrived containing the loot of his most recent break ! Kyle opened boxes of 2012 Topps Opening Day, 2009 Topps Unique, 2006 UD Artifacts, 2003 UD Prospect Premieres & 2004 Fleer Hot Prospects. I was lucky enough to get the Yankees and the randomizer gave me the Nationals as well ! Let's have a look at the loot !

I really like the Topps Unique set so I am happy with this CC Sabathia addition !

Two more Yankees, still hoping to see Joba return at some point !

Couple cards from the prospect sets, although not sure if we should call these prospects !

Two more cool cards, really like the Jeter !!

Two Topps Opening Day, it's Screetch !! Really like the numbered blue border Rivera as well !! I still need a few cards to complete my set so if you have any check out my Want List !

As the break contained some Upper Deck boxes these Yankee Stadium Legacy cards where also included !! Still need 5,000 or so so hit me with them if you have any !!

That concludes the key loot of the break. However, Kyle noticed a greatcard on eBay which he reserved for me !!! A silk card !! A CC Sabathia Silk Card !! A CC Sabathia Silk card numbered to 50 !!!

Silk Rivera Arrives !

When looking at my player collections I can honestly say I like collecting Mariano Rivera the most at the moment. As rumoured, 2012 is likely going to be his last season after a really great career with the Yankees. Therefore, when I saw his silk Topps 2012 card appearing on the bay I couldn't resist myself. The mailman delivered it this morning !

I like the look & feel of the Silk Collection (numbered to 50) ! Are you chasing these silk versions as well ?
