Diamond King Draft Loot !

I recently participated in a fun card draft organized by Kevin at the Diamond King. This week a nice pile of cards arrived !! Although I couldn't resist some Glavines I also scored a bunch of cool vintage cards and these vintage cards are gradually growing on me so happy to have received some more from this draft !

Well, let's first start with the Glavines ! One cool relic card, Upper Deck Timeline, and his Score Rookie card !

The package included some more cool pitchers, here's Sabathia and Seaver, both numbered !

Let's move to the vintage !! One of the 1957 Pirates and 1969 Marichal Scratch Off card, I like these vintage cards !

Two great looking 1964 Topps cards ! I don't know these players so something for me to research !

These are the oldest cards of the lot, 1952 Mothers Coockies ! I clearly need to start doing some research on these vintage sets, never heard of these !

Another cool vintage card, really like the look of this Topps set from 1960 !

Let's finish off this post with a Yankee as (sarcastic mode on) I know you all love the Yankees (sarcastic mode off) !! a cool numbered Munson Donruss Classic card !

All in all a fun draft so looking forward to the next one !! Thanks Kevin !!

Wes' Card Draft Loot, Trade Bait Included !

Wes at Jaybarkerfan's Junk hosted a card draft with some cool cards so I couldn't contain myself (as usual) and decided to participate. The loot arrived yesterday at my doorstep, an awesome package with relics, autos, vintage and cool Glavines as well ! Trade bait near the end of the post.

Let's start with the vintage cards as I am gradually trying to complete these sets (but only just started so almost every new card means a new addition to my collection !). Let's start with a few cards from the 1966 Topps set. Despite not knowing these players at all I really like these cards !

More vintage ! Ted Davidson (1968 set) and Paul Reuschel (1978 set)

I will not show all the vintage cards but let's do two more ! Tom Sturdivant (1961) and Don Gross (1959). Really awesome these vintage cards !

The draft also included minis !!! I love minis and I really, really love my first Glavine mini !!!

I also received a cool Rivera for my Rivera PC and added a new A&G 2006 card !

As I am also trying to complete the Yankee Legacy Stadium set (mission impossible ?) Wes was kind enough to include a few, thanks Wes !!

The draft also included some "hits" which are all for trade !! a Twins Auto and a Dunn Bat Relic.

The "hits" also include this Tejada Bat relic card numbered to only 25 !!

....and another auto card, this one from Rob Bell of the Reds (all the hits are for trade!)

Before I move to the final (very cool) card, Wes also included a small pile of Glavine cards !!!! Here's two...

Oke, to finishthis overview here's a cool Yankees card from the 1973 Topps set, Thurman Munson !!

Thanks Wes for a cool draft and the extra Glavines !!! Thanks everyone for visiting my blog and staying with me until the end :-)

Trade Bait Draft Loot from JABO !

Today just a quick post with some cards as I have to get back to enjoying a sunny day in the Netherlands ! Already a while back I participated in Kyle's Trade Bait Draft at his blog Juuust a bit Outside (JABO). He had a cool collection of cards to chase and the loot arrived a while back. This is what was in the package:

I am a big fan of the Masterpieces set and still only need a few cards towards completing the set. Here's one of Gehrig, a really nice card. The card draft also helped my to get one step closer to completing this year's Gypsy Queen set, adding one more of the SPs. I still need a few SPs so if you have some lying around do check out my Want List and my Trade Bait list and let's set-up a trade !

I was also able to score two 2011 Topps Finest cards I was missing. Getting close to completing the set, only a few more to go !

Two more cool Yankees cards, a numbered Gehrig and a diamond Ruth Lineage

Granderson and another Ruth !

Also another step closer to completing my Topps Series 1 set with this Pujols addition ! Also scored a cool Griffey card !

Another Gehrig in the pack !! I also really like the Cano Chrome card, nice additions to me Yankees collection !

Mickey Mantle also joined the trade bait party !

Minis were also present and I was able to score me some more Lineage minis !! Still tons I don't have yet but we are slowly working towards completion (although very slowly as I guestimate being at only 20% completion or so !)

I also very much like this Jeter card so happy I was able to get my hands on it during the draft !!

As usual, Kyle was nice enough to add a few extra cards to the package, like e.g. these Topps Total Yankees cards !

Thanks Kyle for hosting a fun card draft ! I am off to enjoy the sun some more !

Jaybarkersfan's Junk Draft Loot Arrives !

During February and part of March Wes at Jaybarkersfan's Junk hosted a fun Trade Bait Draft. I noticed some great cards in the draft so decided to participate. Given the large group of participants the draft stretched out over several weeks and a few day ago the loot arrived !!

I scored a few additions to my quest to complete the Allen & Ginter series, here the Cano (2011) and Verlander RC (2006) minis !

Furthermore, one more Flora of the World: Shirley Poppy ! Still need a few so do check my Want List if you have some spares lying around !

Two great 2005 Legendary Cuts, Joe DiMaggio and Paul Molitor, really nice cards !

Two nice additions to my Sabathia and Rivera collections !!

Another really nice Legendary Cuts card, Lasting Legends: Bobby Doerr of the Red Sox,numbered to #399 (up for trade !)

Two minis !! One of the 2012 minis I still needed: Shin-Soo Choo (still need 23, 39, 46, 49 so let me know if you have these to offer !!). Furthermore, a 1986 Topps Wade Boggs mini !

Two more nice additions to my Pitchers collection: Tom Seaver (2001 Cooperstown Collection) and Nolan Ryan (from the 2011 Diamond Anniversary set)

Some vintage was included as well, 2 Expos from the Topps 1972 set !!

I will stop here but the draft included much more cool cards. Wes also decided to include some surprise Yankees cards (Thanks Wes !!!). Another great addition to my Rivera collection !!

and another Rivera addition as well as a nice Bernie Williams card

All in all a great Trade Bait Draft hosted by Wes. Thanks Wes, it was much appreciated !!
