A Great 2 by 3 Trade !!

Earlier this week a big pile of A&G minis arrived !! I always love minis and have been trying to complete the 2012 A&G minis sets. The package came from Jeff from the blog Two by Three Heroes, I think this was already our second or third trade this year and they are always great ! Let's have a look what Jeff send me !!

First up a bunch of minis !!! Here are the regular back minis Jeff send me, including a cool Sabathia !

.....and a bunch of A&G minis and two Yankees gold minis, including a gold Rivera !!

Jeff also send me a pile of extra cards including these cool Sabathia cards !!

My other favourite Yankees pitcher: Rivera !! Great to hear he is coming back next year !!

Two cards for my Archives set as I still need a few to complete the set !!

Some great Future Stars cards, love the look and feel of these !!

Lastly, a few A&G 2012 base cards bringing me a step closer to completion, only a few more to go !!

All in all a great trade so thanks very much Jefff, looking forward to our next trade !!

Trade with the Toddfather !

A few weeks ago Tim at the Home of the Toddfather contacted me as he had several cards from my Want List. Tim clearly had done a lot of digging already and was going to do some good damage to my Want List ! Luckily I had some good stuff for him as well (or so I hope!) and a trade was quickly born. The cards were already waiting for me when I came home from a nice holiday with the family.

The first few cards helped me getting closer to completing my 2011 A&G set. I now only need 3 more cards (70, 80, 275) so I am getting very close !!

Same holds true for 2012 Archives where Tim also send me a few that helped me moving closer towards completion ! 42 more to go: 8, 10, 15, 39, 45, 53, 58, 70, 73, 123, 141, 142, 146, 157, 173, 181, 193, 202, 203, 205, 206, 207, 209, 210, 212, 213, 214, 215, 216, 218, 219, 220, 224, 225, 226, 227, 228, 230, 232, 234, 239, 240.

Tim also helped me with my 2012 Topps set !

In addition to helping me with my set needs some cool pitcher cards were included as well !! Here´s Rivera and Sabathia !

Verlander and Kershaw were also present !!

Lastly, Tim also included some cards of my favourite pitcher: Glavine !!!

All in all a cool trade so thanks very much Tim !!! Next posts will discuss my Topps Mini boxes which yielded some cool hits so stay tuned !! 

Jeremy's package

One of my (hopefully growing population of) readers, Jeremy, contacted me recently about a trade as he had some Topps Series 2 from my Want List and was looking for a lot of 2012 base, which I happen to have plenty of ! So we ironed out a quick trade and earlier this week a nice package arrived at my doorstep !

The first card was one of the Mound Dominance I was still missing: John Smoltz !

Mickey Mantle was also present ! and the minis I love, here's Weaver !!

I really like the A Cut Above inserts so receiving two new ones is great, in particular on of my favourite pitchers, Verlander !!

Jeremy also included a few 2012 Archives that I was still missing !

Lastly, the coolest thing in the packages I often receive are surprise Glavine cards. Jeremy also included a few that made my day !!! Here's two.

JABO Box Break Loot

Kyle at Juuust a bit Outside (JABO) recently did one of his box breaks, this time breaking a few boxes of 2012 Topps Archives ! I was lucky enough to get the Yankees and the Tigers. As the blogosphere has seen a Tsunami of Archives post I won't shows you all the stuff but focus on some cool ones (or at least my definition of cool) ! I actually like this set, despite the variety of different base cards, so I am going to try to complete this set as well !

First up, a nice Ford Archives card and a cool Reggie Jackson cloth card which look nicer than last year's Lineage cloths in my view.

I was also lucky to get some 3D cards: Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth !

My favourite Yankees pitcher was also present in the break, as was Ty Cobb

Two more great Yankees, Yogi Berra and CC Sabathia !

I was also lucky to receive 2 SPs (which I forgot to scan): Cecil Fielder and Oscar Gamble !

Kyle also threw in some extra's ! Awesome extra's I must say: A cool Glavine chrome I was still missing as well as a cool addition to my Rivera collection !

The break gave me a few extra Archives base cards which are up for trade: 2, 11, 20, 37, 56, 74, 100, 139, 200 so let me know in case anyone wants to trade. I will try to compile my own Archives want list in the coming days.
