Loot from Cracking Wax !!

Topher at Crackin Wax recently hosted a group break, breaking lots of Allen & Ginter. Part of the proceeds went to charity as well so absolutely no reason to not participate (in the end $1,200 was raised for charity, well done Topher !!). I grabbed the Braves hoping for some Glavine hits !! Here's the loot !

First up, minis !!!! I am trying to complete the minis sets again, a huge but fun task. Still need to finish previous years but if you have any extra minis to spare I am always happy to trade !!

My goal was to get some Glavine cards, well here they are ! Although I was hoping for a Glavine auto or low-numbered mini :-)

The best loot of the break, from a Braves perspective, was a RIP card !! Most of you followed me Ripping my first ever RIP card a few weeks ago. So to get my hands on a second opportunity to RIP one is awesome !! I will RIP this one and of course dedicate a seperate post to the event !!

In addition to the RIP card, my "hit" of the break was this McGann relic. I thought he is playing for the Yankees so maybe we see him in A&G in a Yankees uniform in a few years ! This one is for trade !

I think some bonus packs were also included in the break as I also received a Topps Series 2 insert and a few 2014 Archives cards.

Let's finish with two more cards !! I actually pulled an Auto, some Twins fan, probably keep the card as he also likes Nirvana and the Pumkins :-))

Crackin Wax Charity Loot !!

A few weeks back, Crackin Wax held a group break for charity (St. Jude Children's Hospital), so double the fun, we help charity and get some cards as well ! So I quickly participated and ended up with the Mets for hopefully some Glavine cards !! Here's what arrived at my doorstep !

First-up, some beautiful Gold Label cards, I really like these and trying to complete the set (only just started) so these are very helpful !!

Next-up, two Topps Reserve, also a nice set I must admit, first time I came across these.

The two "hits" of the break, a awesome Cut to the Chase (I already have it so up for trade!) and even an auto card was included, Jefferies, to be honest I have never heard of him (up foer trade as well).

Glavines were included !! Here are two nice ones !!

Lastly, two Topps Finest, Blue Chips !

This was all just a selection as it was a big pile ! I am looking forward to contribute to charity next time !!

Crackin Wax loot !

Today a package with some 2012 Bowman arrived at my doorstep. I had no clue where it was coming from besides the Varsity Trading Cards sticker on the envelop. After some digging I linked this to Crackin Wax and started remembering that a while back I participated in the Crackin Wax 2012 Bowman Platinum group break ! I was lucky enough to take the Yankees and, if I remember correctly the Tigers with the randomizer giving me the Brewers. Today my loot arrived !!

I like the look and feel of the 2012 Bowman Platinum set. Let's start with some Yankees !

My favourite Yankee pitchers were also included !

Some Rookies as well including a Sanchez Chrome !

I also received some non-Yankee cards including a cool Verlander !
