Battlestar Galactica anyone !?!?!

When I was a kid I was a big fan of Battlestar Galactica. I loved the spaceships, Cyclons and the space fights ! Browsing eBay I came across a Battlestar Galactica set from 1978 with a complete set going for only a few dollars so I didn't pass up on that one !! Here is some youth sentiment....

First up, the evil Cyclons and the key characters of the show, Apollo and face..eeuuhh I mean Starbuck (later renamed to a coffee chain ??)

Some of the hotties of the show, Serina and Athena !!

Like in the A-Team (another one of my favourite shows when I was younger), Face gets all the girls !!

Two more, Athena in fighting gear and Captain Adama !!

Lastly, a funny one, a character named Pig-faced tourist..can't remember the story line here !!

All in all, a cool set of 132 cards !! I will be on the look out for some of the other sets or inserts out there ! Any Battlestar Galactica fans out there ??

  1. Colonel Adama.

Not 100% sure but I think the Pig faced alien was in the Pilot episode as one of of the alien gamblers at the space casino planet that was part of the big plot near the end with those bee/bug-like aliens with the underground honeycomb complex. Been ages since I've seen the show. The original that is I watched the reboot when it was fresh.

  2. I love BSG... original and remake.

With this set, there is also a 22 card insert set of stickers. Including Mr Pig Face, who is referred to as "Casino Patron".
He is from the epsiode with the Ovions...

There is also a 36 card red bordered set from 1978 from Wonder Bread.

    It's pretty cool too.

    Happy Hunting.

  3. Huge fan of both Battlestar Galactica series. I had a mad crush on Athena when I was a kid... years later it switched over to the Asian Cylon girl.

  4. ranks right up there with Buck Rogers. Erin Grey is still a very attractive woman.

  5. Alright I'm definitely going to have to check this show out!

  6. I'm actually watching the new BSG on Amazon prime. I need to go back and watch the old series.
