Allen & Ginter box 2 !!

After breaking my first A&G box of 2015 today it's time for Box 2 !! The first box started as an average one with not much special. Let's see of box 2 is any better !

First-up, a few 10th Anniversary cards...I have made up my mind....I like the framed ones and really don't care about the unframed, simply stamped, cards to be honest.

The first "hit" of the box, a guy named Rovell ?!? don't have US TV so no clue who he is I am afraid. Utley was also present.

Now comes my best "hit" of the year !!! A George Springer Booklet !!! Looks amazing although a shame about the sticker auto...why does Topps do that....anyways even with the sticker it's an awesome card !!!

The box topper came from Russia !!

Let's move to the minis of the box and as you know: I love minis !!

More minis including a Great Horned Owl !!

Couple of inserts, a Sphinx and a Unicorn !!

More inserts, strange but interesting !!

To finish of box 2 let's have a look at a cool old house !!

All in all the booklet made this box a great one !! Be on the look-out for box 3 in the coming days !!

Awesome booklet addition !!

Quick post today while I am packing for Florida (more tips are always welcome, check my post from a few days back!). I was able to get my hands on an awesome addition to my Glavine PC, a very cool auto booklet from Topps Museum Collection. Love everything about this card !!

That's it for today, thanks for visiting my blog today !!

New Rizzo cards !!

Quick post today with two new Rizzo cards, one from COMC and one from eBay !

First-up my nicest Rizzo in my collection !! A awesome Museum Collection Booklet !! Now I just need to find a nice way to store them !

Second cards is a mini, not just a mini, a Gypsy Queen mini, autographed as well !!

Love these minis !!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today !!

Maddux & Glavine Booklet !!

Quick post today with a very cool new Glavine card and Topps threw in a "free" Maddux relic as well !!! Meeting Tom and Greg in a great Museum Collection booklet !!

A Pastime Booklet !

Panini Pastime was one of the best newly launched sets in 2013 if you ask me. I already picked up a Glavine/Maddux relic booklet a while back but recently noticed a cool Glavine auto booklet together with Steve Avery. Here it is, my 58th Glavine auto !!

This one is numbered to only 20 although I have seen versions numbered to /5, /10 and a few more so I might need to chase some more !

Thanks for visiting my blog today !!

Panini Booklets...that's a first for me !

I really like what Panini did last year with Panini Pastime. A cool set with great look and feel. Booklets are also included in and some are even with some of my favourite players !! To me that means another chase and collecting is about the chase as well (for me at least) ! So here's my first Panini booklet, meet Glavine & Maddux !

Some more cool cards are included in this set and I was lucky to be able to pick up a cool Kershaw "Between the Seams". I think not a lot of people were paying attention yet to the Pastime cards that came out in the first few days...or people just don't like'em I guess, but I do !

Any of you like the Pastime set ?

A Mets Booklet

I have been fond of Booklets and own a handful. Recently I came across another one from the 2007 Triple Threads set, a cool Mets booklet with the grand prize being the fact that Glavine is included !! Here it is, numbered to 18 !

What do you guys think about booklets, love'em or hate'em ?!

A National Treasure !

Finally, finally I am done with the exam ! Or at least I have taken it, now I have to wait a few weeks to see if I actually passed it ! To me it became clear that I am getting too old to study.....if the summary of the literature is already a 1,000 pages and you have two kids running around the house it does bring some extra challenges !!

As a "reward" for all the hard work I am taking my wife on a small break the next few days but I, of course, I also went on eBay to get me a nice new card. A National Treasure to be exact !! I actually like the National Treasure set and feel Panini is gradually improving its offering. Here's what I got. A cool Verlander booklet numbered to #/99 !!

I will be back on Monday and will start working on my rapidly expanding backlog of trade posts !!
