My best Topps Mini so far !!

Quick post today with my best mini so far, a 2012 Topps Mini Kershaw card !!! Not sure what the numbering of these mini auto cards is but I haven't seen this one much before so very happy to own one !!

Trade with Community Gum: Minis !!!

Recently Jon at Community Gum showcased 2 boxes of 2012 Topps Minis with most of them for trade. With my quest to complete the full set not done yet, I contacted him right away to see if we could set up a nice trade. And so it happened that Jon send me a nice bunch of Topps 2012 Minis, bringing me close to completing the full set, only 7 cards to go !!

Here's what Jon send me, a nice Mickey Mantle to start with ! Also another Yankee, Brett Gardner in a nice catch !

In total Jon send me 21 Minis, here are a few more,  a great catch by Cabrera and a cool no-hitter this season by Philip Humber !

 A leader card was also included, Batting Average Leaders Reyes, Braun and Kemp !

Jon, thanks very much for the trade and helping me get close to completing the full set. In case anyone has the following minis for trade do let me know !!

Trade with reader Patrick S. !!

I was recently contacted by blog reader Patrick S. who had some great cards for me in store. These greats cards arrived earlier this week, helping again to reduce the size of my Wantlist !! Here's a quick overview !

First-up, 2012 Minis !! I am really getting close to completing this set with only a few more to go so if you have any let's trade (I have plenty to trade) !!

Next up two great "cloth" cards from this year's Archives set !

Patrick send me even more minis, Gypsy Queen !! I have decided to chase the complete mini set here as well so hopefully can get my Want Lists in order asap on this front !!

and a few Archives, here as well I am nearing the end !!

I like the coloured-border variation of Gypsy Queen and Patrick was able to send me a nice Jeter !! I also like the GQ inserts this year, here is Gehrig !

Lastly, Patrick helped me with some of the Topps 2012 inserts. I still need a bunch so this was very helpful !

All in all a great trade that really helped me shorten my Want List. Many thanks Patrick for the trade, looking forward to the next one !!

New Minis !!

Earlier this week I received a big pile of minis, 2012 Topps minis !! Yes, they are mostly the same as the base set, with some exceptions here and there, and only slightly smaller but I still like them and decided to try to complete the set. So when I noticed "pick 50" for only a few dollars on eBay I couldn't resists so even 60 arrived at my doorstep bringing me a big step closer to completion (only 33 to go !). Here are a few !

Trading with Charlie !

I regularly visit Charlie's blog LifetimeTopps and a few weeks back noticed that Charlie also received a few boxes of Topps 2012 Minis. As I am also trying to complete this set I contacted Charlie and a trade was quickly set-up ! It not only including Topps 2012 minis but Allen & Ginter minis as well !!

Let's start with the Topps 2012 Mini set. Charlie send me a bunch of cool ones bringing me a big step closer to completing the set ! Really like the Castro one !

Spanking Loot, part 2 !

Yesterday I showed you my box break loot from Spankee's recent box break at the Cardboard Mistress. We also set-up a great trade so that's what I will show you today !!

Let's kick-off with the "hits" of the trade ! Here's one of my favourite pitchers, Sabathia !!

The second "hit" was a cool triple relic card which include Glavine !! I'll take a Glavine relic any day !!

I am also chasing the Topps 2012 Minis set and luckily Spankee had some in store for me !! Still a few to go so in case you have any for trade please check out my Want List !! Really like the Blanks card

Spankee also send me 20 or so 2012 A&G base cards...I am almost done with this set, only a few more !!

Another set that I am collecting is the 2008 Upper Deck "A Piece of History" and Spankee send me a pile of those as well !! Here's Cano and Jones !

All in all, a lot of cool cards that helped me get closer to completing some of the sets I am chasing. Thanks very much Spankee for the cool cards. Looking forward to a next box break or trade !!

Trade with Chuck !

When I came back from my trip to the US several trade packages had arrived, all of which I will show over the coming days. The first one was from Chuck at Chuck's Corner. Chuck had some more Topps minis for me, helping me get a little closer to completing the set !

Topps Minis, Box 3 !

Today a quick overview of box 3 of 2012 Topps Minis ! First-up another silver-bordered one numbered to only 5 !! This time it was Jimmy Rollins of the Phillies ! I also very much like the Rizzo base card, simply because I was lucky enough to be at his debut for the Cubs during my visit to the US earlier this year (he impressed a lot of people, including me, that game).

As with box 1 & 2, this one also included 5 gold-bordered minis, numbered to 61. These were the ones in box 3........

and finally, the hit of box 3.....another relic card.....it's Brandon Beachy of the Braves

Overall, Topps did a good job with Topps mini and I hear they are sold out and only some resellers have some availability. Hopefully they will have minis available next year as well !
As I indicated yesterday, I have decided to try to complete the set so if you are chasing the minis as well and/or have some spares let's trade !!!
