Sandlot loot !!

Joe at the Sandlot has been one of my regular trading partners since I started collecting a few years ago. Whenever I have excess Piazza cards or Mets in general I know how to get rid of them ! Earlier this week a nice return package from the Sandlot arrived with some cool cards, thanks Joe ! Here they are !!

First up, new Panini cards !! Despite the missing logos I think Panini is doing a good job trying to get some new fresh cards into the market. One of the few negatives these days is still their lack of any response on my redemptions which have been sitting there for over a year now. Anyways, Joe send me a couple of cool Panini cards including the Captain !

Some more Paninis were included ! My favourite Yankees Catcher and Closer !

I was very happy that Joe included 4 Yankees Stadium Legacy cards, helping me in my quest to complete the set. I think I have a few hundred now so "only" 5,000 or so more to go :-)

Some Bowman Chrome was also included, meet Sabathia and newbie Tyler Austin !

Mantle was also present and a cool Canseco card. Really a nice shiny Fleer Showcase !

 Let's finish with two more pitchers, another Rivera and Clemens !

Trade with the Sandlot !

I am finally back so stay tuned for a stream of posts in the coming period !! I received multiple trade packages and had some boxes to break as well while also had some eBay scores ! Let's start today with a nice package from one of my regular trading partners Joe at The Sandlot !! Joe and I have exchanged multiple packages in the recent year with piles of Piazza's going his way and fun Yankees and pitchers coming my way. This time was no different !! Here's what Joe send me !

Let's Cut to the Chase with Babe Ruth !! A great insert set and I am chasing them all so this one was very welcome !! At the same time I am also Chasing History with a Hank Aaron that was also still missing. Still a couple of inserts to go from 2013 Series One so check out my Want List in case you have stuff to trade !!

Joe also send me a Red-bordered Jeter, a great card as these red and blue variations are not really available for overseas collectors (retail only). I also like this Turkey Red one !

I like pitchers so really like this Sports Illustrated about Wells perfect game !! Also a cool new Rivera for my Rivera PC !!

Two great Heritage cards, Gehrig and Matsui MVP !!

Lastly, one more "Chasing History" for my set !

Another Sandlot Trade !

In the last few months I have traded several times with Joe at the Sandlot. It's been fun as we always seem to find some nice cards for each other every time. This time he send me a few Allen & Ginter Hometown Heroes that I still needed and a bunch of Yankees and a Verlander.

First up a cool Babe Ruth insert card: First Class Legends !

Joe put in several Co-Signers cards, nice set I must say. Here's A-Rod and Wang !

Two UD SP Authentic Power inserts ! Damon and Giambi !

Joe found me some Hometown Heroes ! A still need afew before I have my A&G 2011 set complete but I am progressing nicely after some recent trades !

One of my favourite pitchers was also in the pack: Verlander Chrome !

Trading with the Sandlot...again !

Last week I received a package from Joe's Dog Training ! For the ones who have traded with him before you know who I am talking about, it's Joe at the Sandlot ! I think this is already the 3rd trade with Joe this year. I send Joe some more Piazza's I found as well as some Mets cards while Joe send me a pile of 2009 UD "A Piece of History" cards that I was still missing, helping me out a lot! This leaves me only 25 cards short of completing the set (see my Want List).

This is a selection of what Joe send me, starting with 2 Yankee pitchers: Wang and Rivera.  Terrible news today with Rivera getting injured and likely being out for the season. I was really looking forward seeing him play in his last season....

Two more: Vladimir and Tulo, I really like this set and am trying to complete both the 2008 and 2009 set.

 Two last ones: Ichiro and one of my favourite Yankee Pitchers: Sabathia !

In addition to the pile of "A Piece of History" Joe send me he also send me a bunch of other cards including Topps Gallery, a really nice set. I didn't have any of these yet so these are great additions to my collection. meet Jeter and Rivera !

Bowman Chrome was also included, nice black cards: Granderson and Berkman !

Trading with the Sandlot !!

I always like trading with Joe at The Sandlot so when I found another serial numbered Mike Piazza a trade was quickly born ! Earlier this week I received a great package with 2 great cards for my Tom Glavine collection.

First-up, a 2008 Topps Trading Card History insert card, a really nice card....

but the best part was still to come........a great Upper Deck Limited Edition Sweet Spot Patches card !!!

A really nice thick card with a great Mets patch of Tom Glavine, a nice addition to my steadily growing Glavine collection !! I am getting towards 175 Glavine cards so hopefully 200+ by the Summer. If you have any glavine cards that are up for trade check out my Trade Bait page and let's trade !!

Trade with the Sandlot !

The best start to a Sunday is opening some envelops and see what's inside ! A while back, Joe at the Sandlot contacted me for several of my Piazza relic cards I pulled in a few box breaks I participated in. After only a few e-mails we had a nice trade going on. Yesterday, a great package dropped in my mailbox !

The first card Joe send me was a great looking Relic card of Tom Glavine while he was at the Mets

Next up are several Triple Threads cards including Verlander (#/1350) and two Yankees, Yogi Berra (#/1350) and a gold Willie Randolph (#/99).

Furthermore, Joe send me a 2006 Bowman Heritage game-used Bat card of Gary Sheffield in a Pinestripes.

To finish it off, Joe send me a selection of Yankees from the 2005 Upper Deck Classics set. Take a look !

All in all, a great trade so thanks very much Joe !! The next envelop with Piazza I just send your way today so hopefully that one is arriving soon as well !
