Affordable Group Break Loot !!

Recently, Colbey at Cardboard Collections organised one of his famous Affordable Group Breaks, this time opening 2 boxes of Panini Donruss 2014. I jumped at the opportunity and picked the Dodgers in the hope to get some new Kershaw cards (and some trade bait for my fellow Dodger collectors!). The loot arrived a few days ago. Here it is !!

First up the base cards, here are a few Dodgers, including Kershaw !! My random team was Oakland so some cards of them included as well.

Puig was also included, everyone seems to love him. Curious to see how he will do in his second year ! Both are inserts with the blue one even numbered. Both look kinda cool !

Two more inserts complete the overview, one of which the old "Diamond Kings".

Overall I think Panini did a fairly decent job in re-launching the Donruss brand ! No "hit" for me this time but all in all a cool break so thanks very much Colbey !! Looking forward to the next one !!

Affordable Group Break Loot !!

I recently participated in one of Colbey's group breaks at Cardboard Collections. This time he opened some great boxes including 1998 Pacific Online, 1998 Pacific Paramount and 2000 Topps Gold Label. The loot arrived earlier this week, let's have a look !!

First up, Topps Online, a real cool set of cards, here's Jeter and Strawberry !!

I like the Pacific Paramount set as well, including this new addition to my Rivera PC !!

I love the Topps Gold Label set as well and I am trying to complete the full set so these are very welcome.

This set also has some beautifull inserts and I was lucky that Colbey pulled this great Jeter for me !! A real treasure !!

Two more cards were included, a great GQ mini which I still needed to complete the mini set as well as a cool Whitey Ford card. Can't recall if these are just extras or that these were part of the break as well.

Colbey, thanks very much for the group break, I am looking forward to the next one !!!

Affordable Loot !!

Another month, another box break ! Since earlier this year I have been a fan of Colbey's affordable group breaks and I tried to participate each time (as long as I was quick enough to join of course !). Recently, Colbey, at his blog Cardboard Collections, hosted another fun one a few weeks back, opening several Upper Deck boxes from a range of years. I was lucky enough to have the Yankees and the Mets and also got allocated the Astros (if I remember correctly).

Let's start with the 1994 Upper Deck Fun Pack ! Funny cards, here are Boggs and Mattingly !

Loot from Colbey !

Colbey at Cardboard Collections recently held one of his famous affordable group breaks, this time opening boxes of 2012 Topps Chrome. For once I was in-time to grab the Yankees (!!) while the randomizer gave the Twins to me as well. As I only collect Bert Blyleven (also in Twins uniform) all the other Twins cards are for trade so let me know in case you see anything you like !

Let's start with the hit of the break, or at least a hit that came my way. As it is a Twins cards its up for trade and it is a Chris Parmelee autographed RC card. I hope at least some of you have heard of him because I hadn't yet ! My favourite Yankees pitcher was included as well !

Two more Twins up for trade, a Morneau refractor and a Dozier RC Blue refractor (#/199)

I like these die-cut cards, here's one of Gardner together with a blue Rodriguez refractor (#/199)

Two more Twins Rookies, Benson and Hendriks (I need to start watching more Twins games, don't know any of these guys).

Last one is another Rodriguez refractor for my Yankees collection !

Some Affordable loot !

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to participate in one of Colbey's fun affordable group breaks at Cardboard Collections. Colbey was opening up a bunch of Topps Stadium Club boxes from various years and I was lucky enough to get the Yankees.

Firstly, I scored several of the Mickey Mantle cards, I think they look very cool !

I also scored a few Yankees pitchers, Pettitte and my favourite, Rivera ! They both look young don't they :-)

Some Mattingly's were included as well...I like the Broadway Stars cards

Colbey included some great Glavines in the package ! Awesome, thanks Colbey !

Furthermore, Colbey included some Masterpieces, I really love that set ! One more to go (nr 94) and I have it complete !

All in all another fun break with lots of cool cards ! Thanks again Colbey, looking forward to the next one !!

Box Break Loot Arrives: Dodgers & Indians

Colbey at his blog Cardboard Collections recently did one of his affordable box breaks which I can never resist. As the Yankees were already taken I took the Dodgers and Indians to hopefully generate some nice trade bait. Today, the loot arrived so have a look !

First up my only Autograph pull, Martin Vargas of the Indians (#/1350)
