My First NYY Auto !!

As many of you might know already, I am fairly new to the scene of baseball card collecting (but already hooked and loving it!). Today my collection reached another milestone: My first autograph card of a player on my favorite team, the Yankees (yes, I know a lot of people really "dislike" the Yankees, to put it mildly, but for me they have something special!). This morning the mailman delivered this beauty...

A great Ivan Nova 2012 Topps Tribute autographed card (although not sure what to make of his signature). I really like the Topps Tribute set this year and have been chasing some more cards from this set. Still, this was my first big succes ! Being a card of a pitcher makes it even better for me. I wasn't expecting to win this but apparently only a few bidders were around and/or they weren't paying enough attention. Me overpaying for this one is of course not an option in my mind (or that's what I keep telling myself!)

At the same time, another pitcher arrived at my doorstep this morning, #1 in the Yankees line-up, CC Sabathia. The black variation of the base cards (serial numbered to 60), I really like this one as well and scored the Rivera last week.

I hope I can get my hands on some more Topps Tribute but for now I am already very happy having my first Yankees Auto in my collection ! Hopefully more will follow in the future !
