Two weeks ago, Sam at the Daily Dimwit posted a 2012 Gypsy Queen box break which included a nice Rivera relic. As I was still missing that one I contacted Sam and we quickly set up a great trade. I send Sam 20 or so Gypsy Queen minis including a bunch of SPs and a blue framed Freese as well as a pile of Astros from a recent box break I participated in. In return I received the following great cards this weekend !
Firstly, a cool blue-framed Yogi Berra (#/599). I really like these blue-frames parallel cards in the Gypsy Queen set and am planning to chase all the Yankees of this one (as well as Verlander, Kershaw and Lincecum of course).
Sam also send me some Yankee minis ! Nick Swisher (who is on a roll this season so far) and Granderson.
The card that initiated the trade: the Mariano Rivera Relic card !
Lastly, Sam also added the Rivera mini photo variation SP !! Much Appreciated !!
Thanks Sam for a great trade !! I hope more will follow in the future and I am looking forward to your next box break !
I am still in need of several Gypsy Queen regular size photo variation SP cards so if any of you have any you are willing to trade (for something good of course) let me know !

eBay Pick-ups: Rivera
In recent weeks several yellow envelops from eBay arrived, adding some nice cards to my collection. Today a quick overview of my Mariano Rivera loot, my favourite Yankee pitcher !
I picked-up some nice cards including this Topps Tribute 2012 relic card (#/25). I really like the Topps Tribute set this year and I am trying to chase the different Rivera cards ! I now have the #/10, #/25 and #/99 and I am still in need of the #/15 and the #/50.
I also recently "won" the 2012 Topps Museum Collection Primary Pieces card, numbered to #/99, a really nice card. Do you also find it interesting that eBay calls it "winning", which to me usually has a definition that does not include "paying" for something !
Furthermore, a very nice 2005 Topps Uncommon relic card in a sealed toploader, the scan does not do the card any justice. I still haven't been able to confirm that the set is called "uncommon" but then again it didn't really spend the time checking this fact, it is just a very nice card so I just bid for it !
Also, a nice Upper Deck Yankees Dynasty relic card, Rivera together with Pettitte !
Lastly, 2008 Upper Deck X Relic card which also fits well in my "let's collect everything with Rivera on it" Rivera collection
That's it for today, later this week some eBay pick-ups including CC Sabathia, Roger Maris, Tim Lincecum and of course Tom Glavine !
Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy the rest of your weekend !

Nachos Grande Loot arrives !
I recently participated in one of the fun group breaks hosted by Chris at Nachos Grande. This time he was opening 1999 Pacific Revolution, 2002 Fleer Flair, 2003 Donruss Champions box, 1999 Pacific Paramount and 2004 Donruss Leather & Lumber, a nice mix of boxes. I was lucky this time as I noticed the break quickly so I was able to sign-up for the Yankees while the randomizer gave me the Astros.
First up, Donruss Leather &Lumber. I like this set and Jeter & Mattingly are a welcome addition to my collection !
The break also give me a nice insert of Paul O'Neil (numbered to /2500).
The 1999 Pacific Revolution set is a cool looking set as well, here is Bernie and Derek !
Another Derek & Bernie combo, this time from 1999 Pacific Paramount
Another set I really liked from the break was 2002 Fleer Flair. Really great looking cards with nice combination of background and forefront. Meet Jeter (again) and Mussina ! I might even try to complete this set!
Another nice set is the 2003 Donruss Champions. I received 4 nice ones below
I was lucky enough to score a great hit, a very large (box topper size) autograph on bat card out of the Flair box: Flair Sweet Swatch (#/785). Although the player isn't great (Drew only played for the Yankees for 2 seasons before ending his baseball career in 2004), this large-sized card looks really cool.
All in all, a cool break by Chris at Nachos Grande, and I am looking forward to the next one (skipping the current one as I was too late signing-up). Thanks Chris ! No Astros cards to show as these are already on their way to Sam at The Daily Dimwit !
Thanks for checking out my blog again, really appreciate the visit !!

Loot from the Dimwit !!
As usual I couldn't resist and took part of one of Sam's box breaks at the Daily Dimwit. As usual, while I was sleeping, sign-ups started hence my favorite Yankees were taken and I went for the Mets in the hope of getting some new additions to my Tom Glavine collection. The randomizer gave me the Padres. Sam had a cool selection of boxes for the break including 2004 Topps Bazooka, 2003 Topps Gallery Museum Edition, 2001 Fleer Game Time, 2001 Topps HD and 2002 Upper Deck Vintage. I know you can't wait to see what Sam send me so let check them out !
First up, a few nice thick red bazookas, and the best thing is that I didn't have the Glavine yet !!
2001 Fleer Game Time are also great looking cards, here are Piazza and Leiter
I am not a big fan of 2003 Topps Gallery Museum Edition but still, adding a Glavine to my collection always makes me happy !!
The best set of the break was 2001 Topps HD. I think this set looks awesome, really nice thick cards with very sharp pictures. I think I might even try to complete the whole set.
Lastly, 2002 Upper Deck Vintage, I don't really like it, boring cards.
All in all, another fun break by the Dimwit ! Thanks Sam, I am looking forward to the next. Majority of cards up for trade so let me know if you are interested !

Heritage for Trade !
When Heritage came out a while back I participated in one or two box breaks. Besides some nice Yankee cards for my collection and a few Verlanders I decided to not complete this set and focus on Gypsy Queen (please check out my Want List) and Allen & Ginter (this summer). Therefore, I now have a small pile of 2012 Heritage up for trade. Please see some of the cards below and let me know (or link to your want list) if you need anything !
So, if yo see anything you like or you want to check if I have any you need on my little pile let me know ! I also have some 2011 Heritage lying around if you are still looking to complete that one as well !

Trade with reader Paul !
A while ago a I was contacted by one of my readers, Paul, about the Topps 2012 David Price Silk Collection card I pulled. A few mails back and forth and a nice trade was born. My package arrived late last week containing some great cards !
The key to the trade was a great Tom Glavine relic, serial numbered to #/50, SPX Winning Materials !
Also, the trade included a 1976 Nolan Ryan Topps card !
With that being the basis of the trade Paul also threw in a load of Yankees !! Here some of them including my favorite Yankee, Mariano Rivera, a nice addition to my Rivera collection, one that is growing nicely !
Paul also threw in a few Golden Greats ! I still need a few so in case you have any spares check out my Want list and let's set-up a trade !!
The package also included stickers ! Dave Winfield and Nolan Ryan !
Don was also present !
Lasty, some Heritage ! The Yankee Coaches, don't have many cards with them on it !
All in all a great trade, adding to my Rivera and Glavine collections as well as adding some great Yankee cards, and not to forget Nolan Ryan ! Thanks Paul for a great trade, hope we trade again in the future !!
